Erect perennial herb, up to 60cm tall, much branched, pubescent. Leaves petiolate, ovate or suborbicular, crenate, obtuse at the apex, subtruncate at the base, green above, grey pubescent below, up to 3.5 cm long. Flowers white in dense spikes. Calyx narrow, cylindrical, 5 mm long. Corolla white, 5 mm long. Perfect stamens 4. Fruit elongate, erect, consisting of 2 dry cylindrical mericarps.
Tropical Africa, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India. The Farasan Islands(Farasan Al-Kabir).
Flowering period: Almost the year round.
